CHRIST CRUSADE FOR TEEN LITERACY & LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
a vigorous movement (crusade) for saving and retaining the souls of teens, aged 13 to 19,
unto and in Christ through literacy and leadership building
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between His feet, until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people” (Genesis 49:10). Judah is Jesus, Shiloh is the Kingdom of God where man is purposed to enter at Jesus’ second coming; thus all men are to be obedient to Jesus Christ who is the Word of God (John 1:1 and 14).
Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of God, He also has rejected you . . . (1 Samuel 15:22-23).
I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord . . . because I feared the people and obeyed their voice (1 Samuel 15:24).
Obedience is this: God speaks His word, man hears and is required to obey—in submission (moving ‘self’ishness out of the way), to act or behave according to what you have been asked or instructed or ordered to do by someone in authority. God is the ‘One’ in Authority because He made us in His image. Guardians [parents, elders, and teachers] are also in authority as they are responsible for caring about your needs and maturation in life. Pray for God-fearing guardians!
The connection between hearing and obeying is therefore essential in communicating with young people. Hearing is always viewed as a process of the mind. When divine revelation (the Word of God and pure biblical doctrine) is ‘heard’, man must respond (act or behave) with obedience. In this case, it is not about “people-pleasing”; it’s about pleasing God.
Disobedience, on the contrary, is any hearing which is not attentive to the Word, Will, and Way of God. Disobedience is also called rebellion and stubbornness which are equal to the sins of witchcraft and idolatry—heeding the voice of ‘people’ or any spirit against Jesus Christ and acting or behaving in ways to ‘please’ that antichrist spirit. Disobedience breeds where there is lack of trust.
What voice are our young people hearing and obeying?
Today’s teen generation is wallowing under the heavy yoke called disobedience and unless the remnant of the Lord God Almighty in Christ rise up to snatch them away from the cliff of disobedience over which they will fall and not be able to climb out of, we shall be responsible for the death of their souls. They must first trust us to reflect who Jesus is. Trust is to have belief and confidence in the honesty, or truthfulness, goodness, skill, and safety of a person.
A voice is heard [worldwide], lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel [God’s holy remnant] weeping for [the] children, refusing to be comforted, because they are no more (Jeremiah 31:15; Matthew 2:18).
Though this weeping referred to the massacre of the Innocents, male children under the age of two years, it applies to the same Innocents of our day, adolescents, our spiritual babies.
When a child is running toward fire or is about to fall from a high place, what does a guardian do? It is an instinctive reaction to stop them in any way imaginable: be it running to catch and grab hold of them, or by letting out a loud shout; or by standing up and blocking their way; by disciplining them in godly ways; or variably, by instructing them on how not to get set on fire or how not to fall off and die.
A guardian, just like angels, is sent to take care of one who is weak, and to instruct them on the ways to grow up stronger in order to defend and fend victoriously for themselves. Today’s teens are utterly defenseless where there is no counsel from the remnant—matured, seasoned Christian soldiers of the Cross.
The cliff is every ‘high thing’ that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Under that ‘high thing’ is a very great fall; and a soul which falls off this ‘high thing’ can be shattered beyond the point of being put back together again.
Here’s how to launch a CHRIST CRUSADE FOR TEEN LITERACY & LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE:
· We run to catch and grab hold of them by tracking who they are, getting interested in each one’s name, age, level of education, aspiration, which helps in praying for them, their needs, and ultimately their salvation—turning them away from the cliff.
· We let out a loud shout by applying Teen Literacy Centers instructing them in the reading, writing, speaking and listening to the Word of God so as to heed His voice and not slip off that cliff. Teens must also be motivated to apply literacy skills to their academic goals to become skilled at successfully solving problems.
· We stand up and block their way by establishing Teens’ Churches grounded in pure biblical doctrine and unadulterated Christian living, thereby monitoring their spiritual movement and growth which steers them away from curiosity about what’s on the cliff.
· We discipline them in godly ways by hosting Leadership Camps and Teen Christ Crusades wherein each adolescent is given a role to play or model applying acquired leadership skills to help other teens to become disinterested in what’s on the cliff and to voluntarily turn away from the cliff and into the Church. When a child is actively and intentionally misbehaving, the guardian must give him or her a godly activity that will keep their attention, motivation, and intention on being and expressing the ‘good’ (the image of God) inside of them.
· We instruct them via social media blogs and videos on how not to get set on fire with the consequences of premature and spiritual death by falling off that cliff.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds [cliffs], casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God [cliffs], bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
JESUS LOVES THE SINNER, BUT DIED FOR THE SIN.
TRUST AND OBEY HIS WILL IN YOUR LIFE.
