Wellness Series: How Many Signs Do You Need?

Well, dear soul, we are almost to the end of our journey to wellness, but into a new season as we have ushered into 2026. How do you feel? If you are changing and feel a “shifting” from your old self into someone new, then you are benefiting from this series. I, too, am applying what is written because it is not written by me, per se, but I write what the Holy Spirit tells me to express.
Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21a).

In other words, get quiet, get still; and confidently wait for the Lord’s instruction. Blessed are all those who wait for Him (Isaiah 30:18c). But in this century of technological “noise”, how can a soul hear and subsequently get fed? Nowadays, believers of Jesus, want to “see” signs and wonders instead of “hearing” the voice of God speaking directly to them telling them which way to ‘walk’: where to go, what to do, and how to get to a life of abundance, or wellness.
Did not Jesus tell us in John 10:10b that I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly?
Abundance is the wealth stored up and ready to be used for the wellness of any one who learns how to handle it. Wellness is health (good stewardship in righteousness) of your physical body, of your soul wherein lies your emotions (heart) and thoughts (mind), and of your spirit—your connection and relationship to God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

One indication of wellness for the believer is the presence of perfect inner peace, peace of the soul, working in you when you’re fully connected to Jesus. Allow patience, endurance, and a never-give-up attitude to work in you as God prunes, or cuts off and out, anything (or anyone) blocking your abundance—a fully developed faith which perfects you making you lack no good thing (James 1:4 AMP).
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17).
God’s abundance is the wealth of His gifts manifested in His children who dare to make those gifts work in their lives. It’s time for you to activate your “one thing” and work it for your wellness. And these are the signs of your wellness: 1. spiritual strength; 2. peace of mind; and 3. an abundant life.

To attain spiritual strength, draw closer to God by returning and resting in His Word. Read your Bible systematically, from Genesis to Revelation, one chapter after the other, or listen to audiotapes of God’s Word in the same systematic way. Jumping and hopping across books of the Bible does not give you the divine “bigger picture or plan” God had put in motion since the fall of man in Genesis 3. God’s Word is His spiritual food for the growth of your soul. Just like the body, without food, the soul becomes malnourished and gets sick. And, if you only eat the vegetables skipping, hopping, and jumping over the proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and other vital nutrients, you miss the “bigger balanced diet.” In taking quiet time, and with confidence, assertively ‘eat’ God’s Word, one nutritious chapter, or morsel, at a time and trust in its truth to gain spiritual strength as you apply it in your daily life situations.

Peace of mind comes with meditating on and doing the Word of God. Test the Word if you will. I have tested God’s Word since I began reading the Bible; and can surely testify that it never fails, it never turns into something else other than the will of God, nor does it have variation—to fit what you want. You only have to believe in its truth; and it will work for you. What results in doing God’s Word is inner peace.

Finally, folks have a problem with living an abundant life. Abundance does not equal ‘to be rich’ and loaded with money. When you get the love (more like lust) of money out of your head, your heart will beat with God’s heart to know that when you seek the will of God for your life and walk in His righteousness, He will lead you by His Holy Spirit into a life filled with unspeakable joy and all the other Fruit of the Spirit. And as Matthew 6:33 confirms, He will make sure you have everything you need to keep on working your talent(s), including money, in order to carry out your mission here on earth. So be confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6); for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13).
Health is creating the good life that is productive and beneficial, rather than allowing negative forces to create your life for you.1
Do what makes you ‘godly happy’, what makes you work the talent(s) (God’s gifts) in you for the benefit of humanity, even if your ‘human community’ begins in your home, or church, or classroom, or workplace. Can it not extend to your state or region, nation, and eventually to the whole wide world? Don’t think small about the size of the human population your gift(s) can reach. When God is in it, your influence and impact can multiply by His mathematics, not by earthly exponents.

In 2026, right now, you must wake up and decide to live a productive and beneficial (abundant) life. No one can make that decision for you. And you must have a plan. Write down everything you want to start, or if you have started, write the next steps to take to accomplish your goal, your life-dream, your one thing. Shake the dust off from anyone and anything that does not support you in working your gift(s) from above and trust in God. He will surely send people into your life as divine helpers. He’s only waiting for you to step out on faith, looking up to Him.
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you (Isaiah 30:18a). Our Father is waiting for you to move forward into your good life of abundance by putting your talent—His gift for abundance—to good use.
