Growing Sexually Mature-2

Exploring Our Earth-man

It is so interesting to watch humanity’s interaction with the Bible. It seems so detestable to the palette of the atheist that he vehemently refuses to acknowledge its existence; or rather, its validity (or truth). The agnostics of the land, who believe that there is a Supreme Being (but perhaps not the Christian One), store the Bible in their archives of other “holy books” of “other religions” and count it equal to them. But to the Christian believer, the Bible is the only authoritative word of God, the Supreme Being, the Creator of the universe and of us all.

The magnificence and uniqueness of the scripture is that it contains answers to all of life’s questions. No other book in human history has been written by 40 men (from “every walk of life”: kings, peasants, prophets, philosophers, fishermen, poets, doctors, statesmen) over a span of about 1,600 years, with all 66 of its individual “books” linked to one central message crossing from Old testament into the New with its beginning Genesis flowing into its concluding Revelation (or its Revelation flowing into its Genesis).

The scriptures of the Bible come alive every time they are read; and every time you need a friend, the word of God becomes a Comforter. When folks stop criticizing and actually begin to want to understand our life’s manual—the Bible, the revelation becomes clear that this is a book of love to every soul in every nation as it was meant to be from its genesis. That is why the Bible is the most widely read Book globally. And it’s available to practically all mankind via its translation in over 690 languages.

How awesome a privilege it is to hear the “symphony” of the Bible. It not only strings melody to its expository, but also sings in psalms, rings wisdom in proverbs, shines light in the gospels, and brings salvation to mankind. As a “manual” is printed for every machine man-made on earth, so, too, comes the human being with our “book of operating instructions”. When we understand the contents of the Bible fully, then everything else can be seen in whole, not in parts.

The Bible beams light on our path as we pursue our exploration toward sexual maturity. We shall first delve into how we grow into our sexuality. Sexuality is about your sexual feelings, thoughts, attractions, and behaviors as they relate towards other people as well as how they are expressed by you. Sexuality is beautiful and personal because it is an important part of who you are.

The first trek involves exploring the earth-man in us.

(The "seed" of a man penetrating the ovum of a woman produces life from the very first seconds!)

There is a “seed” (or a start) to everything and a time of reaching maturation (an end) to everything. The physical body of man is made up of the same composition as the soil (earth): 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of six (6) elements, namely oxygen (O, 65%), carbon (C, 18.5%), hydrogen (H, 9.5%), nitrogen (N, 3.2%), calcium (Ca, 1.5%), and phosphorous (P, 1.0%). Only about 0.85% is composed of another five elements: potassium (K, 0.4%), sulfur (S, 0.3%), sodium (Na, 0.2%), chlorine (Cl, 0.2%), and magnesium (Mg, 0.1%) (1). And 70% of the body’s iron (Fe) is found in our blood (2).

Sixteen (16) nutrients (elements) are essential for living organisms in the soil, nine (9) which are called macronutrients: carbon (C), oxygen (O), hydrogen (H), nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P), potassium (K), calcium (C), magnesium (Mg), Sulphur (S); and seven (7) which are called micronutrients: iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), boron (B), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), and chlorine (Cl) (3).

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being (Genesis 2:7).

The point: All humanity has one common irrefutable bond—an earth-body, blood, and the breath of life.

The Bible also confirms that God made all men from one blood and spread us out over all the earth: And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth . . . (Acts 17:26). We are all connected by our blood which carries the life of man.

Our humanity is one connected link designed by the divine mastermind of God; and we are formed in His image and given His breath of a divine nature—all human beings were created to have an intimate relationship with the Supreme Being because it is by Him that we live and move and have our being . . . for we are also His offspring (Acts 17:28). This was the original plan of God: to be in close communion with His creation, both male and female.
