Stand Up For Jesus!

Children and Teens March for Jesus in the Tepa District of Ashanti Region, Ghana

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

Where are you positioned right now?  To be ‘positioned’ means to be at a particular place, point, and purpose.  As creations of Almighty God, you are already placed at point and given a purpose called victory.  Victory is the power given to you to overcome or to destroy all works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

"A Gift from God" by Fred Mathews

As God filled you with his breath on the day you were born into this world, His image is you.  His greatness is you. His victory is you!  Yet, over time, as we grow and meet the pain of this world, many of us lose hope in the truth that God is working all things together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

You may be trapped in addictions of drugs, sex, and ‘sakawa’ (greed or lust of money, gambling), or in a web of the occult, self-hatred, and fury against the whole world order.  These traps were set by the evil one, the source of perdition, the devil, Satan.  Why have the powers of darkness got more time on media and on minds now more than ever before?

Children’s cartoons used to be in “happy” colours of pastels and light hues of pink, yellow, green, and blue.  Today, our children are drawn to cartoon colours of ‘heaviness’ and ‘darkness’ in shades of grey, ash, blood red, and charcoal.

The “happy” colours have been exchanged for colours which resound in depression trapping the soul in a state of sadness bolting the “joy of the Lord”.  Dark colours erect strongholds of oppression binding the soul in a tight ‘box’ with no door opening unto the “light of Christ”.  These colours suffocate the soul in entanglements of demonic possession pushing all God’s authority out of access to the soul now dying because it has lost all hope in wielding the resurrection power lying dorment in him or her.

"The Fork in the Road" by Lester Kern

Dearly beloved of the Lord, stop lying there in your filth; stop sitting there on the fence of frustration.  You’ve got to make a choice!

“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!” (Ezekiel 16:6).

Are you positioned for death or for life?  God is calling you according to His purpose to LIVE! Climbing out of the dungeon of addiction and untangling your way out of the webbing of self-pity, self-hatred, and pure fury can only be done by STANDING UP!  What do you stand for?  Why not take a chance on standing up for yourself in the resurrection power of the love of Jesus Christ?

Children ages 8 to 10 years out on the Mission field standing up for Jesus

Position yourself for your life-purpose as it was prepared in heaven before the day you were born on earth:

“I made you [to] thrive like a plant in the field; and you grew, matured, and became very beautiful . . . but you were naked and bare.  When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God (Ezekiel 16:7-8).

Jesus’ heart beats love for you; that’s why He gave His life for you on that old rugged cross.  By His life-sacrifice, you were made to THRIVE!  You are made to grow, mature, and express the beauty of God’s holiness as a born-again Christian.  Your blood and nakedness represent the sin enslaving your soul and capturing your mind and body, but NOW IS YOUR TIME FOR LOVE, to surrender to the love of God, to love God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength (Deuteronomy 6:5), and then you can truly love yourself and others.

“Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals . . . I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk. Thus you were adorned with gold and silver. You ate pastry of fine flour, honey and oil.  You were exceedingly beautiful, and succeeded to royalty.  Your frame went out among the nations, for it was PERFECT through MY SPLENDOR which I had bestowed on you,” says the Lord God (Ezekiel 16:9-14).

VICTORY is where you are to position yourself, beloved.  You succeed in victory (as a royalty of the King of kings) at the place of the Cross, at the point of Repentance, and in the purpose of Loving God.  But first, you’ve got to STAND UP FOR JESUS!  He’s knocking at your door.  Won’t you let Him in?
